Don’t try that hard...

Oh my, while innocently prancing around in the city on a crisp winter’s day last week, I came across quite an interesting attempt at a girl who had constructed an outfit...She, unfortunately, from what I could tell, had tried a tad tooooo hard to mix things up. It got to the point where she appeared as a jumbled up rainbow with no pot of gold in sight at all.
She sported a summery light pastel pink dress with thin spaghetti straps and light purple leggings....Already she was resembling “Johnson” the pink elephant. (Remember the show “Johnson and friends”?). Following this attire was a light grey pair of ankle suede boots which were getting extremely soaked by the rain (as obviously she had not scotch guarded them. What a fool) and a green t-shirt! Yes people, a light green t-shirt under the thin straps of her frock which came just above her knee.
Sometimes people are just not cut out to try to match but not to match. It is a tough task and you either succeed and pass with flying colours or you fail miserably and cop 100 eyes staring at you thinking what happened there? It was not as if this girl would not have had other choices to cover up her body as the clothes were not the ‘el-cheapo’ kind and maybe if she had changed her colours up a bit she could have gotten away with whatever look she was trying to achieve. I am not so sure myself – but maybe if I saw it I would have been more convinced.
Her handbag was a completely random item which was quite a large, brown, leather bag and clearly did not match her shoes nor any aspect of her outfit. I will give her credit where it is due as in this case, she did not even require a jacket. Now that I ponder about that – Thankgod she waltzed around Melbourne jacket-less as God only knows what she would have ripped out of the cupboard. This careless young woman must have felt invincible in her stunner of an outfit (not) despite it being a good 10 degrees outside when confronted by the elements so I actually am still unaware of how she did not pass out due to hypothermia.
