Is that a nail issue I spot there?

June 25th 2008 07:20
Ok general rule of thumb – it is quite simple - do not apply feral coloured substances to your body...easy said! If you discover you require bright green nail polish to slap on your fingernails – you know you have gone way too far in matching your outfit to your body! It is not allowed!

Colours like bright or fluorescent green or light orange nail polish can be considered a two in one bargain. Firstly you have painted nails (and with any luck they will have a less chance of splitting or breaking) and secondly, it actually appears as if you have a fungal nail infection otherwise knows as - Paronychia...Seriously, it really is a condition so stay away from repulsive colours. I realize many dress to impress and want to team it up with a bit of glitz and glam as well as colourful materials worn on their body however if you are not careful you could end up appearing as giant rainbow.

Firstly, ugly nail polish flags a danger to the fashion social consensus! If you have a bright green top or frock, this does not give you the right to slap on bright green nail polish...You would not sport fluorescent green lip gloss so why smear the tone on your nicely filed nails! One – you would resemble the new “P” plates in Melbourne or two, you could be accused as having the same heritage of an alien from another planet. It is simply a no-go zone and then it really makes it look like you have tried way to hard to “match your outfit”.

Another colour which is a shocker to even purchase is that ugly light orange colour. Do not mistake this for coral as that is a lovely shade but the whole disgusting orange shade screams danger. Once it begins to chip it does no justice to the outfit you are turning heads in and really and truly ensures attention is focused on the feral colour you have chosen. Kids – it does nothing for your outfit!

If you are going for bright or pale frocks, perhaps stick for neutral tones of colour and even for your naughty nails, why not try the classic French polish! It is a much better alternative to waltzing around looking like you walked through a construction sight and your nails got attacked by hideous spray paint...
