Matching tracksuits

Ok no go zone lady! A matching pale pink tracksuit…do I need to expand? Well yes, for the purpose of this discussion I will go on and further detail the horrible elements that this offence entails. Firstly – it was matching – pretty obvious, secondly, her pants were very very short!!! What happened here? Did this woman not read my entry which eloquently explained the dangers of exposing your ankles when wearing pants? I am very sure we all decided this was a crime and should be punished accordingly. She was strutting down a street in Melbourne with her pale pink attire and her jacket zipped right to the top as well as wearing a white t-shirt underneath. (I saw this as it was poking out of the bottom of her tracksuit top). Then the lovely bottoms were pretty and pink as well as her beaten up runners which looked like they were going to fall apart at any second. Now I am in no way having a go at the runners (although just then it seemed as if I did bag them a little bit) as I am way more interested in the fact of the matching top and bottom thing she has going on there! Come on guys – no deal to the matching attire. I realize it was very cute when you were 3 or 4 or 9 years of age but not now. Wear the items at separate times. It ends up looking like a giant jumpsuit if you sport these threads together in unison. Mix it up a bit. Wear a different coloured pair of tracksuit pants or under the tracksuit jacket throw on a pair of jeans. So now you guys want the comfort of cosy and warm pants? – not a problem. Wear the tracky pants (provided they are long enough and cover your ankles) with a long sleeved top and cardi and team it up with a chunky knit scarf. Violŕ… This is a much better alternative than slapping on the matching top to the bottoms. This alternative is extremely uncreative and very appalling in the fashion department. I realize you buy them as a set so you should think of that as being a bargain. Here you have managed to create two outfits instead of one! Gosh guys, thinking outside the square does indeed have its benefits. No more to the matching attire. It looks hideous and should only be worn at times when you are alone…even that is doubtful incase someone pops in for a surprise visit. Just because you buy things together does not necessarily mean they need to be worn together…I shall leave it there.

Maybe write something in a couple of years, when you actually have a bit of life experience and the most important factor in your life isn't what colour stockings or tracksuits a stranger is wearing.
Shut up!
