Red Hot Fish

I can already see it clearly...the season of winter will kill me due to the absurd items of clothing kids pull out of their wardrobe and slap on. While roaming the streets of Melbourne I tend to spot some odd things in my travels...The one I shall mention now was quite a bright disaster...
Prancing around Collins Street the other evening, I spotted this young girl walking ahead of me. The Fashion Police should have been present and gotten onto this one quick-smart. She was there with a singlet and cardigan, which was fine and fabulous at the same time, as the singlet was quite cute and was white. However, she decided to sport a pair of red tiny shorts and pitch black ankle boots... What was the disaster 'bit' of the outfit was the choice of patterned “leg huggers” otherwise known as tights she was wearing.
She chose to shove on a pair of black fishnets. Ok, it looked quite disgusting. I can understand wanting to wear the cute little red shorts as they were very pretty however, the fishnets just killed the whole outfit. She could have gone for a pair of plain black stockings and boots but instead, she chose crazy tights for her subdued outfit. She probably had the intention to, at least, attempt to keep warm by wearing some sort of leg attire and not waltz around in tiny red shorts in the middle of winter in Melbourne. Fish nets were probably not the ideal style to wear. Clearly there are massive holes everywhere! That is all I need to say to explain why that theory of keeping warm while wearing this particular form of stockings is flawed.
Fishnets are not all bad news and they can liven up your outfit but it depends on what you decide to wear. They suit knee length-winter style frocks...Not super short dresses, as in this case you would most probably come out looking like a prostitute. Other than that they are fine but stay away from them if you plan on showing a little bit of thigh when you hit the town for some dancing...
