Socks and colourful sandals highlights an extremely confusing world. I am pretty sure socks were created to be worn under shoes and creeping up above the ankle as well as covering one’s foot...However alarm bells began to ring when suddenly I was approached by a "sock revealer"...I sat there stunned as I peered over to the desk on my left to a disgraceful site. Possibly one of the biggest fashion crimes ever. There they were – two feet...covered in a thick grey material being embraced by red plastic. Now for all of you who think this was a hideous red monster wrapping itself around grey objects – you are incorrect. It was a pair of feet being kept warm with a pair of dark grey socks and bright red sandals with gold buckles and all the trimmings. What is going on in the world if you are wearing sandals on 3 degree day – as if the socks are going to ANYTHING to keep you warm while they are soaked by the rain. So this led me to believe one of two things. Either the girl wearing this was either really chilly but had to wear her red sandals as she absolutely loved them or she actually thought she could get away with wearing socks in sandals. I was completely flawed as the only person I ever saw teaming up the whole sock and sandal duo was my grandfather and not even he thought it was fashionable! He didn’t have a clue what was going on in the fashion department proving my point further. Honestly you would either just wear the sandals and freeze to death or wear another pair of shoes! Hello you are wearing socks...there is an unlimited selection of shoes you could wear with them...trust me. It’s been happening for many years now. You have runners, ugg boots, slippers, ballet flats, boots and the list goes on. What person in their right mind goes and shoves on a pair of red, plastic, thin strappy sandals in the middle of winter with dark socks. Honestly, dress more appropriately before leaving the house. Look out the window before scarring the world with your horrible foot attire. Seriously it looked shocking and so very uncoordinated that it was actually beyond me how somebody could construct an outfit like that. I would never consider the equation socks plus sandals as to me that equates to the most incorrect answer in the footwear department!
