The Trackie & Heel combo is a no-no

While I was minding my own business the other day, just roaming the streets of Melbourne, with the intention of purchasing items I have no use for, I received a startling text message...One of my poor friends has started back at university a few days before I am due to commence and she sent me quite an amusing message.
All she had written in the message was – “tracksuit attire...no runners”. I thought ok - gosh what has this person put under their tracksuit – like no runners, so maybe slippers? She thought it was the funniest thing she had ever seen and it kept her entertained while she attempted to be productive. In the meantime I was still trying to work out what this person had teamed up with their trackies. I never in my life thought somebody would strut down the street wearing a matching tracksuit and a pair of heels so my reply was slippers... I was going to say thongs but thongs and trackies are fine to wear and me and her both wore them together so I thought well she would not be bringing that up...
I awaited eagerly for a reply while I made my purchases and received a reply almost instantly... “heels”. I was astounded. I could not believe what I had read. I thought surely it was a one-off and there would be no replicas of this individual and their disgusting choice of footwear. However, I was wrong. It was quite a spooky experience. She must have cloned herself and then sent her clone down the streets of Melbourne as, as I turned around there was a replica of this heel offender – standing there - flicking through some magazines. I thought...ummm gosh she gets places quick if it was the same girl. Turns out it was a different clueless individual and so I stood there fixated on the bottom half of the outfit.
Honestly the only rational explanation I could think of in my head was that she had been into MYER and tried on some shoes and now she was testing them out. How ridiculous! Clearly that was not the explanation. It was just that she had failed to change her dancing shoes from the night before. No – also an absurd justification for her terrible trackie and heel combo. I quickly sent a text message right back to my friend and informed her that these people had been genetically modified and cloned and that these sorts of “trackie and heel combo” people were around the city of Melbourne. Mortified, she replied “are you serious”...Oh yes....I was...
See, so incredibly unbelievable...The tracksuit pants were massively flared and did not have any zips on the side or anything. In that case, if zips were present, she may have been able to jazz them up and perhaps she could have worn them with heels...or not...who am I kidding?
