Tired Toes

October 30th 2008 11:37
If you are going to ‘talk the talk’ then you must be able to ‘walk the walk’...or so the saying goes – or I could have just made that up...The other night I was at Crown Casino – Melbourne’s massive entertainment complex, where I had an epiphany...

I discovered people were not trained in the art of walking...The amount of girls I saw trotting along not being able to walk in their shoes was hilarious...I noticed so many ‘un-co’ chicks to the point where I was actually predicting who was capable of supporting their ankles on a 15 cm stiletto heel and who was not...

Ok so it was a Race day and Flemington racecourse in Melbourne which would have made big bucks on the exchange of money for champagne – but these chicks were beyond the whole ‘walking drunk theme’... They literally could not walk. If you are going to purchase a great pair of massive shoes – make sure you actually try them on in the store and at least attempt to walk around in them for more than 30 seconds to see whether or not they are comfy. Once you get home, do a couple of laps in our new treasures... If this is not working out for you and you find your two little prized possessions are not right for you at least you then you will at least have time to scoot back of to the store to grab your cash back or exchange them for a lower pair of shoes.

These chicks were walking as if they were looking for lily-pads and not wanting to step on a frog...They were slamming their foot down so hard on the ground but only with the front of their foit – I was wondering the need for a heel at most times. There were a few trips and stumbles in the 10 minutes I was standing at Gold Class waiting for my ticket to process, but the entertainment was flowing.

At times, a couple of women were waltzing around with the back of their shoe coming on and off – it resembled a thong and did not look great. Another tip –perhaps purchase footwear that actually fits your hoof. I know at times it can be frustrating if you really love a super-dooper cute pair of shoes but if the glove does not fit – you should ditch it a.s.a.p...You are the one who is going to have to trawl through various terrains in these stunner heels so you want to make sure you actually walk like a human being, not an ape who just rose out of evolution and does not know left from right...

Foot wear can also be a painful experience so make sure you grab some ‘party feet’ along the way or better still try to snap up bargains for hot to trot heels that are actually comfortable and do not plunge your left pinky into a painful suicide...
